PAPAGEORGIOU, Athanasios

Athanasios Papageorgiou is a certified sports teacher. From 1970 to 2009, he lectured at the former Institute for Sports Games at the German Sports University in Cologne. He has had numerous successes as a Bundesliga men’s coach and as a coach of the German national volleyball team for the disabled. For almost three decades, he was a trainer at the DVV (German Volleyball Association) as well as a coordinator and main lecturer for volleyball at the Cologne Trainer Academy. Since 1993 he has been a trainer for the International Volleyball Federation and the International Volleyball Federation for the Disabled. He has published numerous textbooks, scientific articles, and educational films on beach and indoor volleyball.

PARKER, Ruth M.

Ruth M. Parker is a primary care physician trained in internal medicine and pediatrics. She is a lifelong athlete who began running marathons at age 52 after editing health content of books for Jeff Galloway. Ruth has completed 26 marathons using RunWalkRun(R). She is nationally known for her work in health literacy, which focuses on making sure health information is understandable and useful for everyone.

PATRICK MOHAN, Carmen

Carmen Patrick Mohan is a primary care physician trained in internal medicine and public health. She serves on the Medical Review Board for the popular website sharecare.com. Carmen was a competitive Division I runner in college who suffered injury after injury until beginning RunWalkRun(R).She regularly wins her age group in local races.

PASCARELLA, John

John Pascarella is a first team assistant coach with Major League Soccer’s (MLS’s) Minnesota United FC. John was also assistant coach at Sporting Kansas City (MLS) for eight years, during which he helped lead the club to an MLS Cup Championship (2013), two Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Championships (2012, 2015), and a record six consecutive play-off appearances.

John has also served as a head coach for both the North Virginia Royals (PDL) and the Des Moines Menace (PDL). He holds the UEFA “A” License, U.S. Soccer “A” License, and the NSCAA Premier License, and is a frequent presenter at national coaching clinics.

REINISCH, Stefan

Stefan Reinisch is a lawyer and holder of the 4th Dan in Jujitsu. He is an instructor in Jujitsu at the University Sports Institute in Vienna and acts as an advisor covering the areas of security training for businesses as well as teaching self defense to women and young girls.

PAUL ROBINSON

Paul Robinson is an experienced soccer coach with FA level 3 (UEFA B) and FA Youth Award qualifications. RUTLEDGE, Bethany

USA Triathlon coach and author Bethany Rutledge believes that crossing a finish line can change your life in amazing ways. Once an unlikely endurance athlete herself, she and her husband are now co-owners of Atlanta Triathlon Club, a large triathlon community in Atlanta, GA, and Energy Lab, a cycling and coaching studio. SANGHANI, Sonia

Sonia Sanghani will tell you quite frankly that she has been a rather boring non-cyclist amputee for over 10 years. As a fairly enthusiastic beginner, she decided she wanted to read a book about amputees who cycle. Sometimes, if you want something you have to go out and get it and that is exactly what she did.

SCHEUER, Claude

Scheuer works at the University of Luxembourg for the research unit ECCS (Education, Culture, Cognition and Society) at the Institute of Applied Educational Sciences (AES).

He teaches in the primary school teacher education program. His research focuses on basic motor skills of children and adolescents and on active school settings.

Scheuer is a member of the board of the Luxembourg teacher association (APEP) and the president of EUPEA (European Physical Education Association). He is the vice delegate for Luxembourg for FIEP Europe (Federation Internationale de l’Education Physique) and an executive board member in the ICSSPE (International Council of School Sports and Physical Education.

SCHMIDT, Achim

Dr. Achim Schmidt works as a sport scientist at the Institute of Outdoor Sports and Environmental Science, Cycling Department, at the German Sport University Cologne.

Since 1985, he has been active in cycling and mountain biking. He competes in street races as well as in long distance mountain bike competitions. He works with many cyclists as a coach. He has achieved the status of a cycling expert through his numerous articles in cycling magazines and contributions on national television.

SCHMIDT, Stephan

Stephan Schmidt currently works in the youth academy of FC Schalke 04. During his playing career, he played for Hertha BSC, Preussen Munster, Babelsberg 03, and Tennis Borussia. He was head coach in the second Bundesliga at SC Paderborn and Energie Cottbus.

SEABOURNE, Tom

Tom Seabourne received his PhD in Sports Psychology at the University of North Texas. He was the American Council on Exercise (ACE) Fitness Educator of the Year finalist in 2005 and Guinness World Record holder for indoor cycling in 2009. Tom received the Piper Award in 2014, honoring him as the top professor of all colleges and universities in Texas. He was an International Taekwondo Champion and winner of the Race Across America (RAAM) Open West in ultracycling. He has been featured in Sports Illustrated magazine three times as Athlete of the Month. Tom has also authored numerous articles and books. SEEGER, Fabian

Fabian Seeger is the author of The Soccer Games and Drills Compendium and Creative Soccer Training. Fabian received a master’s degree in sports science from the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel, Germany, and an A license for coaching from the DFB (German Soccer Association). He is a basecamp coach for the DFB’s talent development program, and he also serves as advisor to the Hamburger Soccer Association coach’s training.

‘TOPO’ RODRIGUEZ, Enrique

Enrique TOPO Rodriguez is an Argentina-born rugby union player. He started playing for the Universidad Nacional of Cordoba RC in 1971. Earning 19 caps for Argentina and 26 more for Australia, he represented Australia in the Rugby World Cup in 1987. TOPO played tighthead prop, loosehead prop and hooker. He was known for his hard play and excellent scrummaging technique.

Guido Vroemen is a cyclist and triathlete and a sports physician. He is the team doctor and coach of the Dutch Pro-Continental Cycling Team Roompot-Nederlandse Loterij. WILD, Carl

Carl Wild is an experienced soccer coach. He is currently the Foundation Phase Lead for one of the prominent WSL clubs in England. Carl also has experience coaching grassroots soccer and supporting grassroots coaches with the English Football Association.

Having previously been a coach mentor, he is now a tutor, delivering on several of the English Football Association’s coaching courses.

Carl also has a MSc in Sport Performance Coaching, and he is the program leader and lecturer for a BA (Hons) in Football Coaching and Management course.

Liv Williams, a Welsh filmmaker in natural disasters and conflict zones, lives a life of extremes. WINKLER, Greg

Greg Winkler is currently head coach of the boys’ soccer team at Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Florida, where he also serves as a physical education teacher at the Charlotte Campus of Florida South Western State College. David Wright lives in Auckland, New Zealand. He is an International Level Five American Swim Coaches Association certified coach. For 30 years he has coached national representatives in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, the US Virgin Islands, and Saudi Arabia. His athletes have competed in the Olympic Games, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, among others, and have won 10 medals.
