John is a Welsh international, a two-time British and Irish Lion, and part of the the famous 1971 Lions who defeated the All Blacks where he started all four Tests. Furthermore, John was ITV’s lead commentator for the Rugby World Cup. John commentated on many of the games selected in ‘World in Union: A history of Rugby World Cup in XV matches’ including the 1995 Final between South Africa and New Zealand, the 1999 Semi-Final between New Zealand and France and the 2003 Final between England and Australia.
