WE CELEBRATE RELEASE OF ‘RUNNING EVEREST: ADVENTURES AT THE TOP OF THE WORLD’ BY HOLLY ZIMMERMANN 29 May has marked International Everest Day since its first successful ascent in 1953. Two years ago to the day, Holly Zimmermann – or ‘Ultramarathon Mom’ as she’s more widely known (her book of that title can be found here) – ran the 2018 Everest Marathon – the highest marathon in the world – and became the first international woman to reach the finish line.
