Author information

Jason Carney was raised in Lancashire, England. He played at all levels and is a UEFA qualified soccer coach. After coaching professionally for six years with Preston North End FC, he moved to the United States. There, he learned the importance of understanding the game at the grass-roots level. When Jason obtained the position of technical director, he gained the opportunity to put a development plan into place. He saw the growth and team bonding it created throughout the soccer club.
