Professor Gleeson talks to us as we celebrate publication of his great healthy lifestyle guidebook, ‘Eat, Move, Sleep, Repeat’… There are many books on specific diseases and their treatments and some on prevention strategies but usually the focus is on only one disease (e.g. coronary heart disease, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, cancer etc). Very few (if any) provide comprehensive coverage of multiple potential health problems. There are way too many books by TV celebrity medics, fitness gurus and chefs about healthy lifestyles and weight loss with heavy focus on dieting and minimal science content. Read more…
